Hey Guys! so it’s me again with a new article & this time I thought to share some apps that I use when I plan my photography trip. Since the technology today is more accurate, we should know how to get the advantage from it. so here we go.
This my favorite app from the date I purchased it. It has never wasted my money and also very useful to handle. Especially those who’s interested to capture Milky-Way, the is the best app to plan your trip and the perfect location. The price tag for this on Apple Apps Store/ Play Store is $9.99.
The Photopills is also good to know about the Sun, twilights and magic hours, as well Moon. Also it is a great app for those who do Time Lapse as it can quickly compute parameters needed to collect sequences of still images to create time lapse videos. The DOF Table and Exposure also another favorite tools which provide by photopills.
2. Meteo Earth
Basically MeteoEarth not a planner, It’s a weather app. Unlike other ordinary weather apps it offers global comprehensive weather forecasts as high resolution animation films, and with more accurate data.
The MeteoEarth is very useful to see the clouds level, fog , rain and also Temperature and humidity. MeteoEarth’s free version gives you 24 hours Weather info, so if you need more you will need to get a 3 months or 1 year plan.
3. Sky walk
The Sky Walk is a cool app which enables you to identify the stars, planets, galaxies, constellations and even satellites you can see above. Just stand anywhere and hold your phone up to the sky and The Sky Walk will display the names of the stars, planets and other objects you are able to see, just like that.

Sputnik is a free app which lets you get information about the satellites around your location.Iridium flares & ISS which passes in 24 hours and in next 7 days are shown in the app including the information of Direction, magnitude, Elevation. But sometimes This is not so accurate, as well sometime it’s delay to give proper informations, so it’s better to install few other apps like ISS Finder.
This is a really great app which enables you to organise your gears. You can enter all informations about your Gears & equipments and all other accessories info into this app such a serial number, purchase date, value of the item & you can even upload a copy of your invoice to this app. . Also under the Kit tab you can also organise your gears under certain project and you can see what you have at the moment and what you have left at home.
as well if you have lost your item or if someone has stolen your gears and if they’re trying to enter gear informations to their vault it’s notify you and you can easily caught them. since the usage of the app is still less this won’t be much helpful but with the time being this is really gonna play a big role. at the same time if you lots your gears you can directly make a complain to police and , you can provide all info to your insurance without any hesitations as you have all inside this app.
The app has been developed by Jared Polin, which you can easily download for free.
